SWTrails is a community group that promotes walking and biking in southwest Portland, Oregon by:

  1. Leading regular monthly hikes.
  2. Organizing volunteer work parties to build and maintain trails.
  3. Working with city, county and state planners to develop safe pedestrian routes.
  4. Advocating for walking/biking.

This simple hike is a companion to Hike # 13 through historic Ainsworth.  Both hikes #13, and #16 begin and end at Ainsworth Elementary school.  They could be combined into a longer hike that totals just under 5 miles, or done independently.
