Join SW Trails to promote walking and biking

Shortly, walking and biking in SW Portland may become more dangerous. It will certainly be more inconvenient. Why? Because in the coming months traffic will be diverted to alternative routes, because of street repairs on Barbur Boulevard, Beaverton Hillsdale Highway, Scholls Ferry Road, and Oleson Road.

You can help minimize this disruption to your pedestrian and cycling activities by supporting SW Trails.

As your local advocate SW Trails will inform, nag and plead with your city’s decision makers to make pedestrian and bicycle safety a priority as they choose these alternative routes.

Please help keep SW Trails an advocate for your benefit by joining ($10 a year), becoming a sponsor ($100 a year) or making a contribution by going to our website https://swtrails.org/organization/join/ .

Besides the alternate routes described above, we are currently working with the City of Portland to complete the Hillsdale to Lake Oswego Trail, a beautiful 6 mile walk through low traffic streets and several SW parks including 2.5 miles of Tryon Creek State Park. We are also working on a new connection from Gabriel Park to Maplewood Road to avoid walking on SW 45th.

Your donation will allow SW Trials to purchase supplies to maintain current pathways, create new connecting links including moving the Red Electric Trail forward, and remain your local advocate for safe pedestrian/bike mobility.

Thank you for supporting SW Trails. Contact may be made through http://www.swtrails.org or by contacting me directly.
