SATURDAY, JUNE 13, 9:00 am
The June 13 walk will be led by Pete Schmierbach. It was rescheduled from March. From Wilson High School we will carpool to the Lewis & Clark law school parking lot. The walk will be 5.5 miles and around 700 ft. elevation gain. There will be a small section along Tryon Creek Park, and then we’ll take back streets to the back end of Marshall Park. We’ll go through Marshall Park to the 13th Street trailhead entrance and take more back roads to Brugger St. Then we’ll go on to explore the trail in the new area bought by the City from Riverview Cemetery and adjacent to Lewis and Clark College. Be prepared for some possibly muddy sections.
Meet behind the bleachers at Wilson High School (Sunset Blvd. and Capitol Highway) and be ready to go at 9:00 am. Bring a snack and water and dress for the weather. Well behaved dogs are allowed. They must be on leash. For health reasons, there is no smoking on SW Trails walks.
