SW Trails monthly first Thursday Work Party for December will be on the 4T Trail where it crosses Fairmount Blvd (see link below) from 9AM to Noon. We will be doing some tread work on the 4T and some winter leaf and brush clean-up. The weather looks great this week so getting in a bit of exercise on the trail can do you and the trail and the community some good. The primary work site (4T where it crosses SW Fairmount Blvd) has very limited parking, so parking up at Council Crest and walking down is a good idea. Maybe leave a bit early for this work party as that walk down is about 10 additional minutes.
As always our work is guided by the Portland Parks Lands Stewardship folks. and Parks will bring all the tools, gloves, and materials we need, and also, coffee, snacks, water, and usually some fruit. On these work parties it is not necessary to stay for the whole event and you can work at whatever level your skill and energy allows. It is just great to meet the neighbors and get a little trail work in.

Attire should be sturdy shoes, work cloths, and winter layers. Also it is near winter so bring along some rain gear just in case. We look forward to seeing you out on the trail.
