SW Trails monthly first Thursday Work Party for May 3rd 2018 will be at Albert Kelly Park in the Bridlemile Neighborhood from 9AM until Noon. We will meet on West (downhill) side of the park on SW Mitchell Street and will be constructing new gravel trail extending the work done when the daylighting project was finished this last summer.
The weather shows low 70s and a bit of clouds so it should be perfect for cutting in as much new trail as we can in the time allotted. Come on out and join us as we do some good work on this great park. Remember every first Thursday of the month now through December SW Trails is in a Park somewhere working on a trail, join us or stop by and say hi.
As always our work is guided by the Portland Parks Lands Stewardship folks. and Parks will bring all the tools, gloves, and materials we need, and also, coffee, snacks, water, and usually some fruit. On these work parties it is not necessary to stay for the whole event and you can work at whatever level your skill and energy allows. It is just great to meet the neighbors and get a little trail work in.

The driving approach for this side of the park is to come in off BH-Hwy turn north on SW 39th then right on SW 48th and right on SW Mitchell and follow that around to the park. There is a decent amount of parking near the meet point.
Attire should be sturdy shoes, work cloths, and Spring layers. We look forward to seeing you out on this work party.
