DESCRIPTION:SWTrails 2nd Saturday Hike\, Sept 14th\, 9am to Noon \nMeet at the front entrance steps of the SW Community Center at Gabriel Park \nName: Gabriel Park and 4 Park Wander\nLeader: Noel Blake\nStart Location: SW Community Center front entrance steps at Gabriel Park HERE.\n(6820 SW 45th Ave\, Portland\, OR 97219)\nStart Time:  9 am (arrive 10-15 minutes early so we can start promptly at 9am)\nDistance: 5.5 miles\nElevation Change:  700 ft.\nPace:  2.5 mph avg \nBus Information: No Saturday Service\, call if you need assistance to the hike start. \nCome out\, get some exercise and join SWTrails on Saturday Sept 14th\, 9AM\, as Noel Blake leads us on a 4 Parks and many little cut-through trails wander in the heart of SW Portland. You can park for this Hike across the street at the OHSU – Laughing Planet lot or along SW Vermont. We will head out to Cullen Blvd and the trail down to SW 45th and loop around to Albert Kelly Park and then over to SW Campbell Street to check out some historic trees. On from there we make our way to Hillsdale Park and then the big dip across Fanno Crk at SW 25th and on and up to the Texas Hydro Park and back down to our last Park wander through Gabriel back to the Start. This should be a great hike. \nJoin us! and remember this is our faster paced 2.5 mph average speed hike with at least a 5-mile distance and some moderate elevation change. \nBring a snack\, water\, good footwear\, and dress appropriately for the weather (raingear? sunglasses? sunscreen? many layers?). Note that smoking on our hikes and walks is not permitted for health reasons. Kids are welcome and well-behaved pets on leash are welcome also.
