DESCRIPTION:Name: St. Andrews Presbyterian to Council Crest Loop\nLeader: Deb Small\nStart Location:  St. Andrews Presbyterian Church at 3228 SW Sunset Blvd\nStart Time: 9 am (arrive 10-15 min. early so we can start promptly at 9am)\nDistance:  3.7 Mi.\nElevation Change:  590 ft.\nAverage Pace:  2 mph\nBus Information:  Due to schedule changes\, check Tri Met for bus information\nSpecial Notes:  A couple of tricky spots.  Bring Walking sticks if you want. \nJoin us as we explore a different area this Saturday.  We’ll be meeting in the parking lot of St Andrew’s Presbyterian Church at 3228 SW Sunset Blvd (corner of Dosch and Sunset) and then heading up to Council Crest. Please park in the upper (northern) section of the parking lot to leave the lower one free for church activities.\nOn the way we’ll be walking on streets and a portion of the Marquam Trail to get up to Council Crest.  Be prepared for a pretty consistent uphill and then downhill trek on this walk.  We’ll also stop to visit a tree that has been in Portland before the signing of the Constitution in 1787! There are a couple of tricky spots on the Marquam Trail so bring walking sticks as needed.  Mud-worthy shoes as well as hiking sticks are recommended for those who usually need them.   Dress for the weather\, which is expected to be wet and chilly. \nBring water and snacks and dress appropriately for the weather. Kids and well-behaved pets on leash are welcome\, but no smoking for the health and consideration of others.\nHope to see you there.
