DESCRIPTION:SWTrails 2nd Saturday Hike\, September 13th\, 9am to Noon. Pendleton Park and 5 more parks wander\nMeet at Pendleton Park 5347 SW Iowa Street \nName: Pendleton Park and 5 more parks wander\nLeader: Dan Rasmussen\nStart Location: Meet at Pendleton Park 5347 SW Iowa Street\nStart Time:  9 am (arrive 10-15 minutes early so we can start promptly at 9am)\nDistance: 6.6 miles\nElevation Change:  780 ft.\nPace:  2.5 mph avg (our faster paced hike) \nBus Service: No Service.  If you need assistance email and we can help. \nHi Hikers\, this month our 2nd Saturday hike is led by Dan Rasmussen on a route leaving from Pendleton Park\, 5347 Iowa St; meet at the path. We will hike over to Gabriel Park\, Raz – Baack Crossing\, Hillsdale\, Albert Kelly\, and cross the Fanno Bridge in Hillsdale. This should be a great early Fall hike. Parking is available along Iowa street and you get to the park by coming in from SW 45th on Illinois or Pendleton and then jogging at 47th over to Iowa St\, this is just down the street from Hayhurst School. \nSWTrails still needs hike leaders\, hike ideas\, and a Hike Coordinator so let us know if you have a favorite hike we could do\, or if you have the volunteer spirit and would like to organize these hikes. It is a fun and rewarding adventure. \nJoin us! and remember this is our longer and faster paced 2.5 mph average speed hike with usually more than 6-mile distance and some moderate elevation change. \nBring a snack\, water\, good footwear\, and dress appropriately for the weather (raingear? gloves? sunglasses? sunscreen? many layers?). Note that smoking on our hikes and walks is not permitted for health reasons. Kids are welcome and well-behaved pets on leash are welcome also.
