DESCRIPTION:SWTrails 3rd Saturday September 20\, 2025\nMeet at the North End of Garden Home Rec. Center Parking \nName:  Hideaway Park Loop\nLeader: Deb Small\nStart Location: North End of Garden Home Recreation Center Parking \nStart Time: 9 am (arrive 10-15 min. early so we can start promptly at 9am)\nDistance:  3.5 Mi.\nElevation Gain:  124 ft.\nAverage Pace:  2 mph\nBus Information:  Due to schedule changes\, check Tri Met for bus information\nSpecial Notes:  As this walk is relatively flat and without stairs\, walking sticks are probably not needed. However\, bring them along if you want. \n We will be exploring the Garden Home neighborhood on this walk.  We will head north and walk along the Portland Golf Course then head east to walk through the Garden Home Community Center grounds on our way to possibly view a beaver dam in Hideaway Park.  We will then begin the return loop by walking to Moonshadow Park as we head back to Garden Home Park. \nAt this time rain is predicted to start later in the day than our hike.  Watch the weather predictions and dress appropriately for the morning’s forecast. \nBring water and snacks and dress appropriately for the weather.
