SUMMARY:SWTrails Monthly Work Party Thursday\, June 6
DESCRIPTION:SW Trails monthly Thursday Work Party for June 6th 2019 will be at Albert Kelly Park from 9am until Noon.  We are going to work on SW Trail #1 passing through the park and extend the trail segments we put in a few months ago near Mitchell St for better winter use of the trail through the park\, we will also be doing a spruce up on the section that crosses the creek. This work will be about cutting out some sod for the trail extensions and putting down a bed of gravel to walk on in the wet times. \nWe will meet over on SW Mitchell St where SW Trail 1 enters the park (see map below). It can be challenging sometimes to get into Albert Kelly at  SW Mitchell. I prefer BH Hwy onto SW 39th\, then SW 38th and around to Mitchell\, but SW 33rd Dr at Dosch to Boundary and around to Mitchell works also. \nPlease consider joining us out on the trail in 2019 as these work parties are designed to support a wide range of worker capabilities. We welcome all and all abilities. So give some thought to joining us or just stop by and say hi. \nAs always our work is guided by the Portland Parks Lands Stewardship folks. and Parks will bring all the tools\, gloves\, and materials we need\, and also\, coffee\, snacks\, water\, and usually some fruit. On these work parties it is not necessary to stay for the whole event and you can work at whatever level your skill and energy allows. It is just great to meet the neighbors and get a little trail work in. \nLink to Albert Kelly Park: https://goo.gl/maps/yWMXaUiXpA3Y64Gf7 \n \nAttire should be sturdy shoes\, work cloths\, and bring layers as it may warm up to the 80’s. We look forward to seeing you out on this work party. \nCall me or text with any questions \nDave Manville\n503-753-8186\ndaville50@outlook.com
