SUMMARY:SWTrails Monthly Meeting Thursday\, February 27 7-8:30 PM
DESCRIPTION:Please join SWTrails for our monthly meeting Thursday\, February 27th\, from 7:00-8:30 pm. We meet in the Watershed apartment building in Hillsdale\, 6388 SW Capitol Hwy. Parking is available in the shopping center across the street\, adjacent to Papa John’s Pizza & Einstein’s Bagels.  Our meeting will be in the Community Conference Room on the main floor of the Watershed Building next to the central outdoor courtyard off of SW Bertha Ct.  You can enter the Conference Room directly from the courtyard. Everyone is WELCOME! \nAgenda for February and Annual Meeting \n \nSWTrails PDX is an all-volunteer\, non-profit community organization founded in 1995. Working together as neighbors in SW Portland\, we are a group of community volunteers who developed a network of safe walking routes and hiking trails throughout our community. We make it easier for all SW Portland residents to access our beautiful hilly neighborhoods through safe walking routes\, trails\, and bikeways. We also believe we are all healthier and happier when we get outside and walk or bike to enjoy nature around us\, access neighborhood activities\, and shop close to home! \nOur ANNUAL MEETING is a time for us as neighbors\, friends\, and volunteers to come together and help make our community group a continuing success for our area.  Like all non-profit corporations we have a volunteer Board of Directors that needs your support.  We’ll look back at the year just past\, and forward to the year to come – what we’ve accomplished\, and what still needs to be done for our community.  How did we do financially\, and what should our budget be for the coming year. \nAnd\, of course\, there will be the annual election of the new and on-going Board members and officers that we all as community members get to vote for at the meeting.  (We have two vacancies on our Board now\, so please consider joining us as a member of the Board!) \nSWTrails PDX is committed to making SW Portland better for everyone by increasing safety and opportunities for walkers and bikers.  Please join us in-doors for our Annual Meeting\, and out-of-doors at one of our organized walks! \nQuestions?  Contact Doug Rogers\, President of SW Trails\, at 503-244-7703 or rdouglasrogers@msn.com \nDid you know?  SW PDX has 280 miles of streets\, but 210 miles have no sidewalks. Is this SAFE for our community?
