Meet at Barbur Park-n-Ride\nJoin SWTrails for our faster paced (2.5mph) 2nd Saturday Hike on September 9th\, 2023. On this month’s 6.3 mile 860 ft elevation change hike we will start at the Barbur Blvd Park and Ride (9712 SW Barbur Blvd\, Portland\, OR 97219). We meet at the back side East side closest to I-5 pedestrian overpass. This month’s hike will be led by Dave Manville and we will proceed on a 5 Park loop hike that includes Ashcreek Natural Area\, Dickinson Park\, Smith Fields\, April Hill Park\, and Woods Memorial Park. We will also be on SWTrail #5\, SWTrail #3\, SWTrail #7\, Brugger paths\, and one secret unrevealed cut-through.  Remember to be 15 minutes early (8:45) to sign in as we head out hiking promptly at 9AM. \nTrimet serves this stop # 8213 on bus 12\, 39\, 43 but let me know if you need transportation to the hike start. \nJoining us? Great! Always be at least 15 minutes early to sign in. See this hike on our website\, check the event Calander or the recent postings on the right column. \nAs we gather and hike\, we are following Oregon Health Authority guidelines. Masks are optional when we meet for the hike and while hiking. We do require all hikers/walkers be fully vaccinated. Use your good judgement\, space out a bit and be respectful of others and their mask protocols as we walk and chat on this hike.\nBring a snack\, water\, good footwear\, rain gear\, maybe an umbrella\, and maybe sunglasses as appropriate.  Dress and prepare for the weather on the hike day.  Well-behaved dogs are allowed but must be on leash. For health reasons\, there is no smoking on SWTrails walks and hikes. If you need to leave the hike early let a hike leader know. We try to find a restroom along the way\, but it’s not always possible to do so. \nFor more information or to volunteer to lead a future hike in your neighborhood get in touch on our web form HERE. \nSee you out on the trail. \nPS: Sorry for the late announcement of this hike\, weather should be great on Saturday\, lets do some hiking !! \nDave Manville
