Southwest Corridor Plan Portland Working Group – First meeting

The City of Portland invites you to attend the first meeting of the Southwest Corridor Plan Portland Working Group (PWG), Monday December 2, 2013.
The next phase of Metro’s Southwest Corridor Plan effort is underway and the Portland Working Group will be a forum to learn about the Plan Refinement and provide input on High Capacity Transit (HCT) alignment alternatives and associated roadway and active transportation projects. The group will meet the first Monday of the month at the Multnomah Arts Center through June 2014.
The agenda of the first meeting will cover:
PWG objectives and participant roles
Overview of Southwest Corridor Plan Refinement Phase timeline and work plan
Overview of process for reviewing Southwest Corridor Plan recommended roadway and active transportation projects for potential near-term implementation
PWG will not be a formal appointed committe. All interested southwest Portland stakeholders – including residents, institutions, neighborhood associations, other non profits and businesses – to participate.
The monthly meetings will cover information and decision points related to the HCT alignment alternatives as well a process to refine and prioritize associated City of Portland roadway and active transportation projects. Southwest Corridor Plan identified parks and open space projects will not be covered in this forum.
