SWTrails is structured as a Membership Corporation. This means that the Membership controls the organization through its power to elect the Board of Directors and its Officers. Members also ratify the budget, and can (if the member has attended two meetings in past year) bring forward an action at board meetings.

That’s a formal way of saying that members are central to making SWTrails work. We are an all-volunteer organization, Members lead hikes, maintain trails, donate and sit on the Board.

And Membership is open to all who subscribe to SWTrails’ mission. SWTrails does not charge dues (sweat equity is more our style), however, anyone who makes a donation automatically becomes a member Click HERE to make a donation.
