SW URBAN TRAILS WALK Saturday July 12

SATURDAY, JULY 12

Sharon Fekety will lead the walk on Sat. July 12 to part of the Marquam Trail and the new Flicker Trail. We’ll walk about 6.3 miles with 500 ft. elevation gain. From Wilson High School, we’ll head down Vermont and 7th St. and cross Terwilliger Blvd. Then we’ll take Trail 3 and descend Corbett St. to Hamilton where we’ll climb some little known stairs to ascend up to Terwilliger Parkway where we’ll enter the Marquam Trail. Then near SW Gaines, we’ll take the new Flicker Trail back to Terwilliger. We’ll return to Wilson HS via SW Cheltenham and SW DeWitt. There is an option to shorten the hike by 1.3 miles if you need to get back sooner.

Bring a snack and water and dress for the weather. Well-behaved dogs are allowed. They must be on leash. For health reasons, there is no smoking on SW Trails walks.
