Mark Turner will lead the monthly walk on Saturday, Nov. 8. It will be about 6 miles with 400 feet elevation gain. The theme of this walk is an introduction to six of the Southwest Portland “Little Free Libraries”. If you are unfamiliar with the Little Free Library concept, go to LittleFreeLibrary.org. Usually there is a container of books in front of someone’s house where you may pick up a book and bring another back to share.
We will meet behind the bleachers at Wilson High School and be ready to go at 9:00 am. (Sunset Blvd. and Capitol Highway) Bring a snack and water and dress for the weather. Well behaved, leashed dogs are allowed. For health reasons, there is no smoking on SW Trails walks. For more information, contact Sharon Fekety (fekety@hevanet.com).
