National Bicycle and Pedestrian Documentation Project

Volunteers are needed to take a census of people using some of Portland’s great trails, bridges, and transit routes. We’ll be counting people walking, rolling, scooting, and skating during the week of September 13-18 – come join us! Contact Taylor Sutton, taylor.sutton@portlandoregon.gov, 503-823-4533, to get involved.

Count Locations: 2-hour shifts
Click the map for an interactive view of Portland’s count sites. Most are located on popular trails and bridges (in green) with a few on-street locations near transit (in blue). Count times are available Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday 5-7pm, and Saturday & Sunday 9-11am during the week of September 13-18. Check the list to see where volunteers are needed.
