Don Baack, founder of SWTrails PDX, recently wrote an opinion article in BikePortland:

Keep Moving Forward on the Red Electric Trail

In it he writes, “Our next goal is to see the completion of the The Red Electric Trail, a six mile-long proposed trail along the route of the old Red Electric Southern Pacific Railroad line. When completed it will provide a family-friendly walking and biking connection from downtown Portland and the Willamette River to Garden Home.”

As work on the much-awaited Red Electric Bridge begins, it brings to mind other areas along the Red Electric Trail that deserve our focus.  Click on the logo below to read Don’s thoughts on where further work needs to happen.
