Join SWTrails for a walk in the Multnomah Days Parade on Saturday, August 16th.
Wear your SWTrails vest if you have one and want to, bring your children, strollers, dogs, cats, ferrets as long as they are on a leash. This is an opportunity to show your support for SWTrails and to have a good time. Bring a non perishable food item for Neighborhood House if you can.
More details below.
The parade starts at 10AM so we will want to line up between 9:15 and 9:30. Look for a tall gentleman, Hans Steuch, wearing a sign with the SW Trails logo.
The head of the parade will be at SW Capitol Hwy and SW Garden Home Road and will line up along SW 39th. You can access 39th from SW Spring Garden off either Capitol Hwy or 37th.
Have fun, be patient and flexible. There will be a lot of people, and everybody is here to make this a wonderful community day.
SWTrails will not be providing any candy to toss, but you may if you like. Be careful that any candy or other items to be distributed MUST BE to the side of the parade. Toss it low and to the curb being careful not to hit anyone.
At the end of the parade, we will take the banner to the SW Trails booth so come by and visit us. We will be there ’til about 4 pm.
THANK YOU FOR BEING PART OF THIS!!
