SW Trails walk April 9

SW Urban Trails Walk

Saturday, April 9, 9:00 am

The April walk will be led by Virginia Hendrickson.  From Wilson High School we will take the Raz-Baack crossing and then follow trail 6 to Marshall Park.  After hiking through the park, we will exit to Maplecrest Drive, cross Terwilliger and make our way to the SW Palatine entrance to Riverview Cemetery.  We will walk through the cemetery to SW Taylors Ferry Rd.  No dogs are allowed in the cemetery but there is a way to detour around it and rejoin the group as we exit the cemetery.  We will then make our way through the South Burlingame neighborhood to the Terwilliger Bridge and return to Wilson High School.  The walk is about 5 miles with 500 feet elevation gain.

Meet behind the bleachers, near the food carts, at Wilson High School (SW Sunset Blvd. and SW Capitol Highway) and be ready to go at 9:00 am.  Well behaved dogs are allowed if on leash.  For health reasons, there is no smoking on SW Trails walks.
