The city of Portland organizes a series of events each summer called Sunday Parkways. These are held in various neighborhoods throughout the city. During these events the city closes off about 6 miles of road to auto traffic so that people can enjoy walking and biking through the neighborhoods. This year there will be 5 such events, but no Sunday Parkways event in SW Portland. Read on to find out why.
This summer there will be Sunday Parkway events in the following neighborhoods:
- May 15 East Portland
- June 26 North Portland
- July 24 Northeast Portland
- August 21 Southeast Portland
- October 2 Sellwood – Milwaukie
