SOLVE is having a work party next Sunday, Oct 23rd from 10 AM-12:30 PM. We will be raking away the pine needles and removing the pine cones from the 70’x 10′ strip near SW Capitol Hwy and SW 25th Ave where we will be planting native plants next month. School-age children can help remove the pine cones from the pine needle piles.

This is the first of several events to be held over the next 3 years to help remove invasive plants, plant native plants, help control erosion and provide wildlife habitat.
Please sign up on the SOLVE web site so I know how many volunteers to expect, dress for the weather and bring work gloves and a rake if you have one.
  • Meeting Spot

Park at the Mittleman Jewish Community Center, just west of the trail start on 25th and Capitol Hwy. Walk from the parking lot down capital until you see the trail and SOLVE signs.
