Thursday April 27th is the SW Trails monthly meeting for April from 7pm to 8:30pm. We meet at the Watershed Building 6388 SW Capital Hwy, enter at the breezeway off Bertha to our conference room on the right side. All are welcome. Our agenda for this month will include updates on a variety of projects for trails and paths both new and ongoing mostly involving PBOT and the UTP (Urban Trail Program).

We will also discuss our next round of Portland Parks trail improvement work party projects and have our usual committee reports on Walks (Need some hike Ideas and volunteers!), Signs, and others. Come on out and join us as we head into the Spring and Summer heavy trail work season. It has been a tough winter for all the trails and paths so if there is a trail repair need you see, drop us a note on the web site, or come on out to let us know what needs to be done. Also we have extended invites to a couple of organization State Parks for Marshal Park Trail and PBOT for the Urban Trail Program, not sure however if either will be able to join us however.

Bye way of news, last month SW Trails finalized trail improvements in Woods Park on a short section of rerouted trail. We have been working to armor and raise trail in Maricara NA park and have completed that work. We repaired temporarily a section of the Brugger ROW paths in Ashcreek. Also we have begun a dialog with PBOT on finalizing funding for our SW 25th to BH Hwy safe route to school, and we have been working to move the UTP (Urban Trail Program) onto a path (pun intended) where getting permits is easier and neighborhood and neighbor notices are simpler to accomplish.

Come on out and join us.
