SW Trails regular monthly first Thursday Work Party on June 1st will at Marshall Park we will be working on the Owl Creek Trail starting at 9AM and going until Noon. Our meeting point will be at the pullout on SW 18th place (9631 SW 18th Pl approx), look for the big white PPR truck.

As always we will be guided by the Portland Parks Lands Stewardship folks. We will be doing tread work, armoring, hinge cutting, and brushing. This work will help prepare the trail for the eventual replacement of a bridge over Owl Creek in the PPR-LS plans. The weather looks to be great and the park is quite shaded if it gets warm. It would be great to have you join us for this. Parks will bring coffee, snacks, water, usually some fruit. On these work parties it is not necessary to stay for the whole event and you can work at whatever level your skill and energy allows. It is just great to meet and get a little trail work in. Below is a map link to the site, and a directional photo. There is additional parking on SW Collins Ct if the pullout park entrance on SW 18th is full.
