The Saturday, October 14 walk will be led by Dave Manville. We will meet at Wilson High School and carpool to Smith Elementary at 8935 SW 52nd Ave. The 6.4 mile walk will pass through 5 Parks or Natural Areas and walk on 8 Right of Way trails. The Parks and Natural Areas include Dickinson, Ashcreek Natural Area, Woods Park, Gabriel Park, April Hill Park and Natural Area. The walk has a low point of 275 feet and high point of 635 feet for a change of 360 feet, however we will be going up and down a couple hundred feet several times throughout the hike.
Meet behind the bleachers, near the food carts at Wilson High School (SW Sunset Blvd. and SW Capitol Highway) and be ready to go at 9:00 am. Well behaved dogs are allowed. They must be on leash. For health reasons there is no smoking on SW Trails walks.
