SW Trails monthly first Thursday Work Party for October 4th will be at Marshall Park from 9am until noon. We will meet at the play structure at the main park entrance. Parking is a bit limited and there is no bus service so car pool if you can. There is some parking up on SW 18th—you can walk down from there. Activities for this work party will include cleaning up the trails, brushing, tread work, culvert cleaning and leaf raking. It looks to be a nice Fall day on Thursday and should be great for some trail work. Remember: every first Thursday of the month from now through December SW Trails will be working on a park somewhere! Please join us or stop by and say hi.
As always our work is guided by the Portland Parks Land Stewardship folks, and they’ll bring all the tools, gloves, and materials we need; also, coffee, snacks, water, and usually some fruit. On these work parties it is not necessary to stay for the whole event and you can work at whatever level your skill and energy allows. It is just great to meet the neighbors and get a little trail work in.

Attire should be sturdy shoes, work cloths, and it is Fall now so likely a jacket. We look forward to seeing you out on this work party.
