SW Trails monthly first Thursday Work Party for March 7th 2019 will be at Dickinson Park and Ashcreek Woods NA from 9am until Noon. We will meet at SW 55th and Alfred Ct at the top of the N side trail. It is a little tight for parking–try parking down at the play structure and walking up (see map and link below). At this work party we will be working on winterizing some of the tread surface, re-benching some sections, graveling slick/steep sections, repairing/filling tread (damaged from downed materials, loss of outside edge). Depending upon the number of people that show up, we could also do some rock edging and some folks could go over to Ashcreek Woods for more leaf and debris removal and bit more tread work. So, lots and lots to do and we would appreciate a big turn out for this work party.
Please consider joining us out on the trail in 2019 as these work parties are designed to support a wide range of worker capabilities. We welcome all and all abilities. So give some thought to joining us or just stop by and say hi.
As always our work is guided by the Portland Parks Lands Stewardship folks. Parks will bring all the tools, gloves, and materials we need, and also coffee, snacks, water, and usually some fruit. On these work parties it is not necessary to stay for the whole event and you can work at whatever level your skill and energy allows. It is just great to meet the neighbors and get a little trail work in.

Attire should be sturdy shoes, work clothes, and as it is winter now a few layers and a rain jacket would be good. We look forward to seeing you out on this work party.
