The Tram is Open Again!

After two years of hospital-only use, the Portland Tram is open to the public!  This means that all of the “T’s” of the 4T trail are there to experience: Trail, Tram, Trolley, Train.  During the closure, the tram portion was covered either by walking down Marquam hill, or skipping that portion all together.  We are happy to welcome the Portland Aerial Tram back to public use.

The public statement reads:

As of May 9, COVID-19 based restrictions on Tram ridership have been lifted. The Tram is open to general fare paid public ridership in addition to patients, students and staff of Oregon Health and Sciences University.  Masks are still required to ride the Tram.

The current Public fares for the Tram:

  • single roundtrip pass: $5.65
