SWTrails 3rd Saturday Walk on the 4th Saturday, August 22

Start Location:  IB Wells HS Parking Lot Near Food Carts
Start Time: 9 am (arrive 10-15 min. early so we can start promptly at 9am)
Distance:  2.7 miles
Elevation Change:  567 ft.
Average Pace:  2 mph
Bus Information:  Due to schedule changes, check Tri Met for bus information
Special Notes: One or two short increased slope on the trail.  Bring sticks as needed

Come join us on our annual “3rd Saturday Walk on the 4th Saturday” as we have a conflict with Multnomah Days each year.

We’ll be starting at IB Wells HS parking lot near the food court and then walking up to Dewitt Park before heading to Himes Park to enjoy a bit of shade and forest before heading back to where we began.

Special Special Note:  The walk is on the shorter side so that any who want to can still visit SW Green Dumpster Day before it closes.

Special Special Special Note:   Next month’s walk will be incorporated into our Grand Opening Ceremonies for the Hi-LO trail.  Mark your calendars and come join in the festivities.  Find out more HERE.  Hope to see you all to help celebrate this major accomplishment.

Bring a snack, water, good footwear, and dress appropriately for the weather (raingear? sunglasses?). Note that smoking on our walks is not permitted for health reasons. Kids and well-behaved pets on leash are welcome. Restrooms are at times hard to come by but we will try and find one along the way.  Check the weather before you walk.  Right now it is saying cloudy but fairly warm (50 deg.)
