SW Urban Trails Walk, Saturday, July 9 starting at 9:00 am
The July walk will be led by Lee Buhler. We will meet at Wilson High School and carpool to Willamette Park. The walk will be a loop over the new Sellwood Bridge, along the Springwater on the Willamette, back over the Willamette on the Tilikum Crossing Bridge and through South Waterfront and Johns Landing to the Park. From Willamette Park we will be walking on the new trail just opened to the Bridge. The walk is 7.5 miles but very little elevation gain. Also you can turn around at any time if the whole walk is too long.
Meet behind the bleachers, near the food carts, at Wilson High School, (SW Sunset Blvd. and SW Capitol Highway) and be ready to go at 9:00 am. Well behaved dogs are allowed. They must be on leash. For health reasons, there is no smoking on SW Trails walks.
The parking costs $1.00 per hour at Willamette Park but if we car pool, the cost will be only about $1.00 per person. If you live near the Park, you can meet us there at about 9:15.
